Our client is currently looking to hire a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive (to start in the new year) for their growing shipping and logistics company based on the outskirts of Preston. Their head office is in Preston with our other offices in Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.
They provide a one stop solution for their customer's logistics requirements with an excellent one to one personal service. They endeavor to support their customer's growing logistics requirements with the best technical and software solutions and in the most eco-friendly way.
Sales experience within the freight industry is required for this role.
The Role:
- The successful individual would be costing, quoting and operating their cargo with any suppliers they see fit.
- Using enterprising skills however they think best, pursuing their preferred options to maximize their sales and thereby, generate profit.
- Handling and growing portfolio of clients, handling both sales and operations
- Negotiating freight rates and determining profits.
- Lead generation and client profiling Networking with trade bodies, sales professionals and service providers.
What are the benefits?

- Candidate must be eligible to work within the UK.
- Salary is £35k plus commission.
