General Warehouse Operative (Loading & Unloading)

Location: WA5 7TP

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00

Breaks: Morning & afternoon break + 30-minute unpaid lunch

Contract: Ongoing role, permanent position for the right candidate

We’re looking for an experienced General Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse operation. This is a hands-on role focused on loading and unloading vehicles and supporting day-to-day warehouse tasks, ensuring goods are handled safely, accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles (manual handling)
• Moving stock and pallets within the warehouse (using pallet trucks/pump trucks where required)
• Picking and preparing orders using a pick sheet
• Palletising, wrapping, labelling and preparing goods for dispatch
• Booking goods in/out and checking deliveries for accuracy and damage
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards and working to health & safety procedures
• Supporting the wider team to meet daily targets and deadlines

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a warehouse/loading & unloading role
• Confident working from a pick sheet with strong attention to detail
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, safety-conscious and a good team player
• Willing to get involved in all general warehouse duties
