For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are seeking an ITOT Systems Support Engineer.
Background: ITOT-Basel offers an open-minded and collaborative team of specialists from various disciplines. Our team is responsible for the support and further development of production and laboratory-related IT systems at our Basel and Kaiseraugst locations. To strengthen our 'ITOT TechOps Team,' we are looking for an ITOT Systems Support Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for first-level support of our IT systems (laboratory & production) and will work closely with our local and global partner organizations and customers.
The ideal candidate: We are looking for someone with completed training in IT/computer science and sound knowledge of Windows operating systems, network technologies, and virtualization techniques, ideally complemented by experience in supporting systems, applications, and infrastructures in laboratory or production environments.
The ideal candidate also brings practical experience with backup and imaging solutions as well as in IT service management and is fluent in both written and spoken German and English. Furthermore, the individual impresses with strong communication skills, a service-oriented and dedicated work ethic, and a team-oriented approach.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Receiving, processing, and resolving IT incidents, requests, and changes.
• Monitoring and optimizing system performance, as well as conducting error analyses and troubleshooting, including problem management.
• Administration and installation of applications using a software distribution solution.
• Support in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Maintenance of the IT inventory.
• Training of employees on IT topics.
• Participation in IT projects and system expansions.
• Continuous improvement of existing processes.
• GMP-compliant implementation and documentation of tasks.
• Collaboration with internal IT partners and suppliers.
• Support during audits and inspections.
• 24/7 on-call duty.

Must-haves:
• Completed vocational training in IT/computer science.
• Sound knowledge of Windows operating systems, network technologies, and
virtualization techniques.
• Experience in managing systems, applications, and infrastructure, preferably in a laboratory and/or production environment.
• Experience with backup and imaging solutions.
• Experience in IT service management.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Dedicated personality with a strong customer and service orientation.
• Team player.

Nice to Have:
• Experience with CSV & GMP.
