About the role
The Program Convenor will have a teaching and program convenorship role and will assist the Academic Director in ensuring nominated programs of responsibility are effectively and efficiently managed to ensure quality outcomes for all relevant stakeholders.
This incorporates responsibilities for curriculum oversight, academic quality assurance, student advice, staff management, teaching [and where relevant, course coordination]. The Program Convenor will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong links with relevant Griffith University academic staff.
The Program Convenor will also be expected to provide portfolio leadership to teaching and learning projects that arise from time to time depending on the strategic direction of the College.
Each Program Convenor will have a primary campus, located in the Gold Coast or Mount Gravatt, though the role will require travel to the alternate campus for the purposes of undertaking aspects of the role.
The person we seek will ideally have the following:
- An aptitude for business and commerce
- Substantial capability in academic/course administration and management within tertiary education related to business and commerce disciplines
- Demonstrated interpersonal and consultation skills
- Experience with international students
- Advanced digital literacy using digital technologies in education settings
- Experience with learning analytics (desired)
