Position Overview:
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Quality Department consistently meets the company's objectives across all quality aspects. This role demands meticulous oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS), continuous process improvements, and the promotion of a positive working environment that aligns with the company’s core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the document control procedure, ensuring all critical documents within the QMS are reviewed, updated, and approved as necessary.
- Establish and maintain records that provide evidence of QMS adherence, ensuring proper identification, storage, protection, and retrieval.
- Regularly review the QMS to assess its suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Quality Director to set and review Quality Objectives that measure QMS performance.
- Ensure all new staff are thoroughly inducted into QMS requirements relevant to their roles, with ongoing training as needed.
- Conduct regular customer satisfaction assessments, analyzing results to identify, plan, and implement improvements.
- Manage an internal audit program to verify QMS conformity and effective implementation, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Analyze data on QMS effectiveness to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, coordinating necessary actions and reviewing outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with MOE, POE, and ISO 9001/AS9100 standards, as well as other relevant regulations and best practices.
- Serve as the focal point for group quality activities, including DOT, ADR, ISO 17020, and other relevant standards.
- Provide direct supervision and mentoring to team members, including regular one-on-one meetings, in line with Group policies.
- Implement staff development and training programs to enhance individual and team performance.

Qualifications and Education:
- 5 GCSEs or national equivalent
- A-Levels or national equivalent
- Degree or equivalent
- Member of the Chartered Quality Institute
Experience:
- Proven experience auditing and leading on audits
- Strong background in the development and implementation of QMS, including policies and procedures
- Experience in an engineering or technical environment
Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of EASA Part 145, 21.G, FAR 145 regulations, and industry best practices
- Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 accreditation processes and standards
- Comprehensive understanding of the aerospace industry
