Billing Specialist

M-F 40 Hours/week

Our leading professional services firm is seeking a Billing Specialist to support its Finance Department. This individual will assist attorneys and administrative staff with client billing, reporting, and resolution of billing issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, complex accounts payable required
• 1+ years’ billing experience in legal setting required.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting and billing principles
• Experience with billing platforms ExpertImage, iTimekeep, PrebillManager highly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and written communication
• Strong math aptitude and ability to work with billing software and databases.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process client bills according to attorney and client guidelines.
• Verify daily billing production and ensure accurate invoice generation.
• Generate and distribute pre-bills and billing reports.
• Assist attorneys and staff with billing platforms (e.g., ExpertImage, iTimekeep, Prebill Manager)
• Learn and support third-party client billing systems.
• Provide backup to other members of the billing and finance teams.
