About the role

Academic Teacher Discipline Leads are responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality education programs to a diverse cohort of students. Responsibilities include discipline overview, leading teaching teams, development, delivery and assessment of the curriculum, actively engaging with students to ensure learning needs are met, maintenance of administration duties and participation in professional development.

Working in a small and passionate team the discipline leads will have teaching duties as well as the opportunity to contribute to and participate in professional development activities.

The person we seek will ideally have the following:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of innovative approaches to learning and teaching
  • Passion for ensuring high quality student outcomes and proven experience of focusing on students
  • Tertiary qualifications AQF level 9 in a relevant discipline area
  • Five years teaching experience within a higher educational environment
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and participate equitably on collaborative tasks
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills relevant to the role, including proficiency with the Ms Office Suite and Learning Management System
