Europcar is looking for Fleet Maintenance Controllers

Main purpose of the role:

To assist with the authorisation of technical repairs with the view of achieving minimal vehicle off road time, whilst ensuring all necessary repairs have been carried out on our fleet to the manufacturers recommended standards. The role will also include aiding and assisting customer needs and requirements.

Working hours will be 36.25 per week, Monday to Friday with a one-hour break for lunch.

Main duties of the role:

  • Knowledge of the 1Link system would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
  • Mechanical automotive understanding, ability to validate warranty and non warranty work, and the ability to authorise costs.
  • To assist in achieving minimal vehicle off road time, whilst ensuring all necessary repairs have been carried out on our fleet to the highest safety standards, in line with manufacturers guidelines.
  • Liaising with repairs to authorise vehicles off road.
  • Follow up repairs to repair completion.
  • Collating service histories to validate warranty claims.
  • The ability to build relationships with suppliers to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Provide out-the-box solutions to assist reduction of vehicle off-road time.
  • Source parts for repairs when back ordered parts are not available.
  • Liaising with manufacturers to claim for loss of use amounts on vehicles off road.

Key skills and attributes required:

  • Highly proficient with Excel, Word and Gmail are essential to the role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organisational / planning skills are a must
  • Experience in administration.
  • Can thrive in fast moving, high pressure situations.
  • Strong motivational skills with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
