We are working with a leading logistics and distribution company, seeking a Regional Delivery Manager for their team. The role is based in and around London, with locations in Beckton and Essex.

The annual salary is £37,865 with full access to company benefits.

The role of a Regional Delivery Manager is to work as part of the Field team who oversee the customer deliveries of goods. This position involves working with external and internal contacts, with management responsibilities of Field Managers and their Couriers. The RDM will have a capable understanding of managing budgets and working in a fast-paced environment to achieve challenging targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and coach members of the field team to ensure the processes in place are both efficient and compliant.
• Organise training events and identify areas for improvement.
• Regularly update your line Manager and senior field Managers team on the progress in the London region.
• Plan and structure recruitment events to ensure a team of Couriers is in place for the business requirements.
• Control budgets to maintain costs and be sure that overspending is kept to a minimum, with plans in place for coverage of unexpected circumstances, such as additional rounds.
• Problem solving and being able to plan effective contingency plans.

The Regional Delivery Manager will also have effective communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful Candidate will be confident in presenting to key stakeholders and their team as well as leading by example.

This position is full time. With the operation being seven days per week, the role may require some weekend rotational work, to ensure the smooth running of the business during the week and at weekends. RDM’s should have a full valid driving licence and comfortable driving across the London network, when required to do so. The role does include access to a company vehicle.
