What’s the role?

As a Psychologist within our team, you will be required to plan and provide high quality therapy using evidence-based interventions based on assessment and sound clinical formulation.

Duties include:

  • Provide high quality psychological assessment and intervention for clients
  • Conduct assessments of clients presenting to the service using evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Relate to people in a manner which is culturally relevant and appropriate to their developmental and cognitive level of functioning.
  • Adopt and encourage a flexible approach to recovery based mental health care, which is person centred and responsive to the specific needs of those engaged with the service
  • Employ sound clinical judgement to provide support and treatment around complex presentations.

Is this the right role for you?

Not limited to but before you apply, we need you to have:

  • A degree in psychology or similar with current AHPRA registration as a General or Clinical Psychologist
  • Well-developed assessment, formulation and treatment skills
  • Experience in the treatment of Trauma is highly desirable
  • Experience working with Defence personnel and/or emergency responders is highly desirable
  • Working with children’s check (Ochre Card) and National police clearance
