This is an exciting day rate contract opportunity to join one of Queensland’s largest utility-scale Solar Farm & BESS projects. We are looking to hire a civil and a mechanical supervisor who will own their respective disciplines. This role would be Monday-Friday on site.

You will play a critical role overseeing either civil and mechanical construction activities across a landmark renewable energy project, ensuring the works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with EPC contractors, construction teams and senior project stakeholders while gaining exposure across the project lifecycle. This role offers strong visibility on site and the opportunity to establish yourself on a flagship renewable energy development.

About the role

Vinova are working with an international renewable energy developer to hire a Civil and a Mechanical Site Supervisor for a major Solar Farm & BESS project located in the Fraser Coast region of Queensland.

This role will oversee either the civil or the mechanical construction scopes across the project, including earthworks, roads, piling, tracker installation, PV modules, BESS infrastructure and associated balance of plant works.

You will work closely with contractors, subcontractors, QA/QC teams, HSE personnel and commissioning teams to ensure construction activities are delivered safely, on schedule and in accordance with project specifications and Australian standards.

This role will suit someone with strong utility-scale renewable energy experience who enjoys being close to construction delivery and driving standards across site.

Duties

Supervise civil construction activities including earthworks, drainage, roads, trenching and foundations
Oversee piling, tracker installation, PV module installation and BESS mechanical works
Monitor contractor productivity, quality and construction progress against schedule
Coordinate interfaces between civil, mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams
Review QA/QC documentation, ITPs, inspection records and construction reporting
Identify construction risks, delays and interface issues proactively
Support daily coordination meetings, walkdowns and site inspections

Skill/experience

Experience supervising utility-scale solar farm and/or BESS construction projects
Strong understanding of civil or mechanical construction activities on renewable energy projects
Experience with piling, tracker installation, earthworks and BESS infrastructure
Ability to interpret IFC drawings, specifications and QA documentation
Strong understanding of WHS requirements and Australian construction standards
White Card and current driver’s licence required
Previous experience working on remote or regional construction projects highly regarded
