Senior HV Project Manager (BBBH409) Melbourne, Australia
| Salary: | AUD240000 - AUD275000 per annum |
What will this job do to improve your life?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of major HV infrastructure projects from early development through construction, commissioning and energisation.
Rather than managing a small package within a wider project, you will act as the senior delivery lead for complex HV assets, working directly with utilities, EPC contractors, OEMs and internal engineering teams to make sure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme.
You will work across major transmission and substation infrastructure, including projects operating at 132kV, 220kV and above, with the opportunity to influence how a growing infrastructure business builds out its HV delivery capability across Australia.
For someone with a strong utility, transmission or HV EPC background who wants greater client-side ownership and long-term progression, this offers a genuine opportunity to become a key part of a newly developing team.
About the role
Reporting into the senior HV infrastructure leadership team, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of major electrical infrastructure projects.
The role will cover the full project lifecycle, including early design and planning, ECI, procurement, EPC execution, construction, testing, commissioning, energisation and handover.
You will act as the primary delivery interface between the business, EPC contractors, utilities, engineering teams and equipment suppliers.
The projects involve complex HV infrastructure in constrained environments, meaning experience with transmission substations, GIS, brownfield works, staged construction and utility interfaces will be highly valuable.
The position can be based in Melbourne, with Sydney-based candidates also considered where they are comfortable travelling regularly to Melbourne.

The organisation is investing heavily in its electrical infrastructure capability and is building a specialist HV team to support a growing pipeline of major projects.
The environment would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex delivery problems and working closely with technical specialists, contractors and utilities rather than operating within a heavily layered project structure.
This is a particularly strong opportunity for someone currently working within a transmission utility, major HV contractor, EPC or OEM who wants to step into a senior client-side position while remaining close to the technical delivery of projects.
