Job TitleSafety, Health and Environment (SHE) Leader

We are currently seeking an interim Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Leader to work with our global FMCG client, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.


 


The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 6 months requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £46,500 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.


 


The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.


 


The Safety Leader will be responsible for the Kingston Campus project during its final stages of construction and for the move from 100ve to Kingston.


 


Key Requirements



  • Must be a strong Safety Leader with experience of Projects/Construction Safety Management (Office, Buildings, Facilities Management sector) in the UK

  • NEBOSH Diploma preferable.

  • Candidate will have a proven track record of Interpreting and deploying Global Company Guidelines, Standards and Legal Req’s to ensure compliance.

  • Great communicator and team player (excellent written, verbal and presentation skills).

  • Ability to deal with high level stakeholders.

  • Ability to create, own, prioritise and drive SHE plans to deliver targets and objectives OTIF.

  • Understand that leadership is service to others, inside and outside UL (Project Teams, Contractors, Key Stakeholders and the Public, etc.)

  • Able to process feedback, raise standards and make continual improvements.

  • Ability to flex plans and leadership style to meet changing situations and respond to urgent issues.


 


Key Experience & Specialist Technical/SHE competencies



  • Project Management

  • Contractor Management & CDM Req’s

  • Risk Management (Fire, Legionella, Electrical, Work at Heights, etc.)

  • Office Safety, Buildings & Facilities Management

  • Behavioural Based Safety Programmes

  • Environmental & Security Management experience also preferable.

Kingston working environment:



  • Contractors who are based at Kingston will be eligible to get free parking at a local carpark

  • There is a Staff Shop located on the Ground Floor next to the main entrance, where Contingent Workers can buy discounted products.

  • Facilities in the gym include cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines, spin bikes, free weights area, boxing equipment and a stretch/matted area.
