Employee Benefits Account Manager (EBAM) Seattle, Washington

Salary: USD60 - USD100 per year

The Account Manager - Employee Benefits position is one of the most crucial jobs within the organization. It directly supports the Assistant Vice President, Employee Benefits and Senior Account Manager, Employee Benefits during the sales phase of the business; then once the account is acquired, assumes complete responsibility of maintaining an extremely positive relationship between Lambent Risk Management and our clients.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships in a liaison role with insurance company service partner contacts (such as underwriters, sales, and service representatives) and client contacts.
  • Proficiently know marketplace; carriers, underwriting requirements & the benefits/services they offer.
  • Quality check of applications claims processing and audit enrollment applications.
  • Preparing and obtaining employee enrollment materials and present employee benefits via webinars, benefit fairs, face-to-face enrollment meetings and enroll employees in the appropriate products.
  • Assist in the communication of benefits in enrollment meetings, webinars with client and insurance companies.
  • Act as liaison between client and insurance companies in order to independently resolve all service problems. Specifically, assist the client in resolving billing, claim, eligibility, COBRA and customer service problems.
  • Independently manage with input from supervisor’s employee booklets, enrollment kits, enrollment forms, letters, and checklists.
  • Traveling frequently to participate in or conduct client enrollment/information meetings, gathering completed client enrollment applications and submitting data to insurance carriers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.
  • Prefer a minimum of five years related industry experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge of group insurance products (Health, Rx, Dental, Disability, Life, etc.)
  • Ability to read and understand industry policies and contract documents
  • Life and Health Insurance License required
