Are market leading manufacturer is searching for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join the business. This role is pivitol in working on key projects and driving the business forward. This is a really exciting opporutnity, the business invests annually on equipment, processes and staff. 

Role Description

  • Manage the team members within Production Engineering and work closely with key technical staff to ensure there is application of appropriate engineering skills, support is provided for production and NPI Porjects. 
  • Manage and improve business facilities, overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and to budget
  • Assiting the business in providing a safe environment for staff with development opportunties
  • Ensure the business is supported in solving problem that affect production, minimising delays
  • Conduct H&S risk assessments 
  • Utilise PFMEA where possible 
  • Ensure the design, trial, manufacture and commission of tools and fixtures
  • Implement and work to KPI's, promoting lean tools and culture 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 Years manufacturing experience within an engineering leadership role
  • Track record of successfully managing and developing teams and individuals
  • Proven responsibility for engineering budgets, including CAPEX expenditure
  • Proficent use of CAD Packages - Solidworks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD
  • Experience in applying CI / Lean principles in a manufacturing setting
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Data-driven and analytical
