A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a growing manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team. My client are market leaders within their sector & experiencing a very exciting growth period. As part of a strong engineering function of R&D, Electrical, Mechanical and Software Engineers this role involves managing the whole electrical control systems process of complex machinery which is critical to key sectors in manufacturing.

Role Description

• Producing and updating detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD
• Producing 3D layouts if electrical panels along with 2D layout drawings. Allowing correct placement parts to meet electrical standards
• Collaborating closely with Mechanical, Software, R&D teams to deliver solutions on time and to budget
• Correct part selection to meet electrical specification. Correct current and voltage determination of system demands
• Safety PLC programming to meet ISO standards

Skills and Qualifications

• HNC / HND level qualified engineer in Electrical/electronic Engineering or Degree Qualified
• 5 years+ experience with Electrical Design Engineering
• Experience in working with PLC programming
• Proven experience with design of electrical schematics and control systems
• Electrical CAD Package experience (ideally AutoCAD)
• Strong communication both internally and externally
• Well versed in managing multiple projects
