Specifications Technologist / Specifications Technician

Days - Office based

£28,000 - £35,000 DOE

My client is a leading producer & supplier of food suppliments across the globe. Over the last few years our client has excelled in the market place whilst still promoting the values that have got them to where they are today. With a multi million pound investment into the business they are opening new sites across the world which will open multiple opportunities for their employees. 

Due to the increase in production they are in need of multiple Specification Technologists OR Technicians to join their site in Biggleswade. 

Working within a team of 7 your main responsibilities will be as follows: 

Completion of customer format specification & Internal specifications and nutritional information for customer product launches for packaging, food safety, allergen and intolerance data
Raw materials approvals
Risk Assessments - Allergens
Horizon Scanning - looking at food alerts and checking if any of their raw ingredients would be effected
Trial set ups - Looking at how the ingredients go through the factory and how they are blended 
Completion of questionnaires - Halal, Kosher, Vegan, Vegetarian
Halal & Kosher approvals and speaking with the governing bodies

I'm looking for candidates who either have experience within a food manufacturing environment in a Specifications Technologist role Or you may have a University degree within food science and are lookign for your first role. If you have either experience please get in contact!
