WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Reach Truck licence to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity offering ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. 

Pay Rate £13.16 per hour (Pre-AWR) £13.66 per hour (Post-AWR) 

Shift Pattern / Working Hours Monday to Thursday 1:45pm - 10:45pm

 The Warehouse Operative role is available with an immediate start and offers ongoing, long-term work. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following a successful qualifying period. 

Job Description
 As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. Working within a busy environment, you will be responsible for the safe movement, storage and handling of stock while ensuring operational targets are achieved. Your duties will include:

• Operating a Reach Truck safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Moving stock to designated storage locations.
• Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Replenishing stock within warehouse locations.
• Conducting stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Ensuring stock is stored correctly and handled with care.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures.
• Reporting any stock discrepancies, damages or safety concerns to management.

The Successful Candidate To be considered for the position of Warehouse Operative / Reach Truck Driver, you will have:

• A valid and in-date Reach Truck licence or accreditation.
• Previous Reach Truck driving experience within a warehouse environment.
• Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, punctual and committed approach to work.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
