Skilled Operative

Working in partnership with a prestigious food manufacturing company based in Elsham, we are recruiting a reliable, hardworking Skilled Operative. This is a Temp to Perm position with a starting pay rate of £13.50 per hour, raising to £14.50ph after 12 weeks.

Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

The Skilled Operative role is a Temp to Perm position that will commence with immediate effect, however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this. Once you have completed 12 weeks work you will be offered a permanent placement.

Job description

As a Skilled Operative you will be responsible for the production of exceptional gluten free products for local pubs, restaurants and bakeries. Day to day you will be expected to;

·       Manually lift up to 25kg of gluten free ingredients contained in boxes and sacks

·       Weighing, blending and mixing ingredients together

·       Ensure there is sufficient material available to run the line and communicate any issues to the Line Manager

·       Quality check products that are being produced by the machine

·       Completing relevant paperwork

·       Work effectively as an individual and as part of a team

·       Achieve the daily production plan as agreed with the production team leader

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Skilled Operative you must;

·       Have previous experience working as a Skilled operative

·       Minimum 2 years food production experience

·       Have your own reliable transport

·       Be technically minded

·       Be physically fit

·       Be committed, team player with a keen eye for detail.

·       Reliable with good timekeeping.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
