We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to support our busy Clinical Negligence team based in Sheffield. You will play a key role in assisting solicitors and fee earners with a range of secretarial and administrative tasks to help deliver excellent client care in complex and sensitive cases.
Key Responsibilities
Providing comprehensive secretarial support to clinical negligence solicitors and legal executives
Typing legal correspondence, medical reports, court documents and witness statements (digital dictation and copy typing)
Preparing bundles for court and medico-legal experts
Managing diaries, arranging appointments, and handling telephone enquiries
Assisting with case file management and document organisation
Liaising with clients, medical experts, counsel, and third-party providers
Filing, scanning and general administrative duties to support the team
Requirements
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within clinical negligence, personal injury, or litigation
Fast and accurate audio typing (minimum 60 wpm)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Discreet and professional approach when dealing with sensitive medical issues
Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload
High attention to detail and accuracy
