Account Coordinator (3105) Derby, England

Salary: GBP13 - GBP13.5 per hour + temp to perm and progression

We are looking for an organised, proactive Account Co‑ordinator to support the Account Manager and wider team in delivering first-class service to our clients. You will handle day-to-day account administration, co‑ordinate all aspects of the temporary workforce, maintain accurate records and act as a key contact for both workers and the client to ensure smooth and compliant operations.

Pay rate £13.50

Contract temp to perm, progression opportunities once perm and bonus

Working hours 8am-4pm / 9am-5pm

Driving license and own car required as site is not accessible by public transport or taxis

Account Coordinator Key responsibilities

  • Oversee temporary workforce processes, including onboarding, inductions, starters and leavers, absence recording and return-to-work procedures.
  • Prepare and submit accurate payroll information within set deadlines, working with payroll and HR to resolve any issues.
  • Allocate labour in line with client demand and skill requirements, track attendance and performance against KPIs, and produce daily reports.
  • Handle queries from workers and clients on pay, holidays, attendance and contract matters, escalating more complex issues to the Account Manager.
  • Complete and record right-to-work and other compliance checks before workers are placed on rosters or processed for payroll.
  • Advertise roles, screen applications, arrange interviews and inductions, and register new temporary staff on the ATS.
  • Provide occasional out-of-hours support for urgent site issues such as no-shows and contingency cover.
  • Support continuous improvement of account processes, record-keeping and the overall candidate experience.
  • Must be comfortable with working independently and managing the office alone.

Account Coordinator Essential skills & experience

  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A proven customer-focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn ATS, payroll and HR systems.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in recruitment, temporary workforce management or on-site account coordination is highly desirable.
