About the client

Our client is a scaled Australian technology platform operating a two-sided marketplace backed by a major Australian tech investor. The business is in scale-up mode with the CPTO building the senior product team from the ground up. The B2B product is the organisation's number one strategic priority, with board-level investment commitment and a rapidly growing enterprise customer base. 

 

The role

You will own the B2B product domain end-to-end, driving product strategy, commercial outcomes, and execution. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic thinking with real delivery. Day to day, you will: 

  • Develop and own the product strategy and roadmap, anchored to commercial OKRs 
  • Present strategy, roadmaps, and investment cases to the CEO, CPTO, executive leadership group, and board 
  • Lead a cross-functional product squad including design, engineering, and data through matrix management 
  • Evolve the platform to meet enterprise needs while delivering customer-facing value 
  • Drive integration strategy for large customers, including agentic AI use cases 
  • Own commercial metrics including adoption, conversion, and retention 
  • Drive pricing, payments, and invoicing workstreams through the platform engineering team 
  • Champion AI enablement across the B2B product 
  • Build out the detail and sequencing beneath strategic themes that are already mapped at a high level 

 

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years in product management with demonstrated B2B commercial product experience 
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to articulate metrics, unit economics, impact delivered, and the strategies and levers behind it 
  • A strategic thinker who can develop and defend a product strategy, not someone waiting to be told what to work on 
  • Senior stakeholder management experience, comfortable presenting to C-suite, board, and business unit leaders 
  • Hands-on execution alongside strategic leadership 
  • Marketplace or high-growth SaaS background 
  • Data-driven decision making combining quantitative metrics with qualitative customer insights 
  • Experience in organisations that move at pace with significant change 
  • Reasonable tenure and depth at previous companies, demonstrating end-to-end product delivery over meaningful timeframes 
  • Financial acumen across unit economics, commercial levers, and how revenue flows in a regulated environment 

Nice to have: marketplace dynamics, AI delivery experience, SaaS enterprise integration, finance/consulting/entrepreneurship background.
