Mechanical Engineer
Full-time (Day Shift) | Monday to Friday plus on-call rota
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team as they go through a period of growth. You will be responsible for developing, and maintaining manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
The Role:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve engineering challenges.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Optimise manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including specifications, design calculations, and reports.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
- Participate in the implementation of new technologies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production staff.
- Participate in on-call rota for troubleshooting and emergency response.
Qualifications:
- Educated in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in maintenance of heavy machinery and production equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to mentor Junior Engineers.
- Willingness to grow and develop skills.
- Open to an on call rota system.
