Call Center Representative (A1454887IR) Boston, Massachusetts

Salary: USD20 - USD22 per hour

This is a temporary, fully onsite call center customer service opportunity with a transportation services company supporting a major public transit system, based in Boston, MA. The role pays $20–$22/hour and runs on a Thursday through Monday schedule, with weekday shifts from 11:45am–8:15pm and weekend shifts from 9:30am–6:00pm (Tuesdays and Wednesdays off). The assignment is expected to run through July with potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer 40–50 inbound customer calls per day, depending on service levels and events
  • Log all customer interactions and complaints accurately in the system
  • Ensure detailed documentation for complaint records
  • Route complaints to appropriate departments for follow-up investigation
  • Escalate safety-sensitive calls to management as needed
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and helpful manner
  • (Preferred) Assist with customer communication via email

Candidate Qualifications

  • Prior customer service or call center experience
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling difficult or escalated calls
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to work on a laptop
  • Willingness to learn transit system operations and procedures
  • Flexibility with schedule changes as needed
