Software Engineer - Whippany, New Jersey

Overview:

Design, develop, and enhance software using modern engineering methodologies to deliver business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Key Accountabilities:

• Software Development: Deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, develop solutions, and align with business goals.
• Code Quality & Knowledge Sharing: Participate in code reviews, collaborate with peers, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Innovation & Growth: Stay current with technology trends and contribute to internal tech communities.
• Secure Coding Practices: Implement secure coding standards to protect data and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Testing: Apply effective unit testing to ensure code reliability and readability.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Financial Industry Experience: Knowledge of Fixed Income products. Prior experience with Structuring, Pre-Trade/Post-Trade capture, workflow, processing, and life-cycle management is a plus.
• Incident Management: Skilled in analyzing production incidents and restoring services promptly.
• UI/UX Collaboration: Basic understanding of UI/UX principles to work effectively with design teams.
• Microservices & BPMN: Familiarity with microservices orchestration and BPMN tools, preferably Camunda.
• Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work with diverse individuals and global teams.
