Key Details:

• Teach and assess English courses for 14–19-year-olds and adult learners.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, syllabuses and learning materials.
• Develop engaging, student-centred teaching strategies to improve learner achievement, retention and progression.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback, individual support and group tutorials.
• Support student admissions, enrolment, induction and progress tracking.
• Develop and review the curriculum to meet national requirements and learners’ needs.
• Maintain accurate course records and student documentation.
• Support examination registrations, assessments, submissions and external verification processes.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Curriculum Manager for English and other college colleagues.
• Liaise with employers and external agencies regarding student placements and progression opportunities.
• Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding.
• Follow college policies on health and safety, data protection and student welfare.
• Participate in quality assurance, curriculum reviews and continuous professional development.
• Contribute to the College’s mission, values and strategic objectives.
• Have a valid Enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
