We are actively seeking a QC Scientist III to work on multiple complex projects including but not limited to continuous improvement as it related to QC, analytical technology transfer of methods from the Analytical Method Transfer Group and other related laboratory initiatives.

Other responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate project execution and implementation activities with appropriate laboratory management and other department representatives.
• Design and execute all or designated components of a project within timeline and budgetary constraints
• Coach analysts regarding technical issues, compliance issues related to the purpose and execution of the methods
• Develop an understanding of how the method and analysis relate to the process and the product
• Assure campaign readiness regarding project milestones
• Act as gatekeeper for assigned disciplines assuring consistency to methods and forms that are transferred to QC
• Actively involved with troubleshooting and resolution of assay execution issues
• Develops training curricula related to assigned disciplines and new technologies
• Prepare documents such as procedures, methods, forms, protocols, summary reports, study plans, trend reports, problem analysis and periodic analytical assessments
• Collaborates with operational groups to investigate quality-related issues
• Manages contract laboratory testing and data evaluation
• Recognizes trends in assay performance and capable of addressing root cause

The ideal QC Scientist III will have the following:

• BS/BA in Life Science, preferably Chemistry
• 8-10 years related laboratory experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
• Experience with chromatography and ELISAs, as well as other plate based type assays.
