ABOUT THE JOB

Role

The Humanitarian Access & Security Coordinator (HAS) Coordinator supports the Country Director and the Field Coordinators in the adaptation of SI safety & security framework to the current context. More specifically:

  • S/He coordinates efforts to access to new hard-to-reach areas, in close collaboration with Fields Coordinators, Security Managers and advisors and CD.
  • S/He monitors, eases and implements general safety, security and HA trainings to all SI staff over the duration of his/her mission.

 

Main responsibilities

  1. Review SI Syria Mission HA, safety & security documentation;
  2. Humanitarian Access, safety and security operationalization
  3. Recruitment and training of the security focal points and SI Staff in general
  4. Security Analysis

 

Specific objectives

  • Review SI Syria Mission HA, safety & security documentation
  • Ensure operationalization of security processes
  • Recruitment and training of the security focal points and SI Staff in general
  • Security Analysis

 

Priorities for the 2/3 first months

  • Contribute to efforts at mission level to expand to new hard to reach areas
  • Train and accompany staff on HA assessment
