The Brien Holden Foundation is looking for a passionate, skilled and flexible Optometrist to join their team for an exciting contract with their partner, Central Australia Aboriginal Congress in Alice Springs!

What’s the role?

  • Support the establishment of an integrated and comprehensive model of eye health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Alice Springs region
  • Incorporate both service delivery and service development accountabilities

Is this the right role for you?

  • Tertiary qualification in Optometry
  • Valid registration to practice optometry in Australia
  • Demonstrated ability, or willingness to learn, to create culturally safe and inclusive environments
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in community or public health optometry (Preferred)
  • Ocular Therapeutics endorsement highly regarded
  • A current (or ability to obtain) a working with Children's Check, National Police check & Manual driver's licence

NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
