Salary: AUD75000 - AUD79999 per annum
  • Salary range $75,000 - $79,999;
  • Up to $3,500 for relocation, as well as scholarship and bursary grants available

What’s the role?

  • Provide culturally safe support and mentoring to young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are engaged with headspace
  • Work with young people and families in a strengths-based and choice-focused way
  • Support young people and their families who present with mental health difficulties
  • Strengthen access to culturally informed, flexible support.
  • Help young people understand the impact of mental and physical health

Is this the right role for you?

  • Cert IV qualification (or similar), currently undertaking study or be willing to complete further study
  • Experience working with young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people and their families, providing social and emotional support.
  • Experience with risk assessments is highly regarded
  • Great communication skills and willingness to learn new skills
  • NT working with children's clearance (Ochre Card), NT Driver's Licence & First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
