Service Engineer

Service Engineer (BBBH10554) Blacktown, Sydney, Australia

Salary: + Super + Loading + CAR

Core Talent are working with global company, who specialise in supply chain automation and materials handling equipment, in their search for an experienced maintenance electrician who can work as a feild service engineer.


Working on fully automated materials handling equipment, you will be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance along with continuous improvement activities, the position would suit a candidate with high speed manufacturing or mining experience.

Reposnsibility include 

  • Ensure a high rate of productivity & utilization is delivered in day to day FS NSW tasks
  • Assist Procurement department with identification of required spares as required
  • Provide expert technical product support during breakdowns, shutdowns and all preventative & corrective maintenance activities
  • Complete service reports in CMMS within 5 days of works completion & monitor FS NSW team CMMS entries to ensure process is followed.
  • Ensure maintenance & repairs are carried out to meet OEM standards and specifications.
  • Liaise with international helpdesk to provide remote support to resolve technical issues.
  • Liaise with FS NSW Team Leader to resolve design issues, and prepare product improvement recommendations.
  • Proactively work with the customers operations teams to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment
  • Assist with project works & installations as required
  • Be available as required under rotating on-call roster to cover callout to NSW based sites
  • Perform mechanical tasks as required in line with OEM maintenance
  • Perform mechanical tasks as required in line with OEM maintenance
  • Work with a high level of autonomy and provide a level of flexibility to assist CSS team to cover labour shortfalls as required.
  • Actively promote a safe work culture at all times.
  • Participate in regular team meetings with CSS Management & FS NSW team toidentify any inefficiencies, discuss  WHSE topics and monitor continuous improvement processes

To be considered for the role you will need experience of:

  • High speed manufacturing or mining
  • Reactive and preventative maintenance
  • PLC fault finding, ideally Siemens or Allen Bradley
  • VSD's
  • Pneuamtics
  • Mechanical aptitude,
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Trade Qualified Electrician / Fitter
