An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a heavy manufacturing company in the Avonmouth area. With each day bringing something different, the role of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a top-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Undertaking maintenance tasks on conveyor belt systems, pan mixers, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Promptly attending to breakdowns and resolving them efficiently.
• Performing basic welding and fabrication repairs.
• Taking an active role in implementing continuous improvement measures to minimize downtime at the site.
• Assessing and enhancing Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) systems and processes for a flourishing business.
• Possessing a foundational understanding of electrical principles.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• The preferred candidate should possess one of the following qualifications: CGLI, NVQ, BTEC, or HNC.
• Holding an IOSH or recognized Safety Training Certificate is essential.
• Prior experience as a Maintenance Engineer is required.
• Proficiency in fabrication and welding is necessary.
• Ideally, the candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the Heavy Industry sector.
