Our client is a leading provider of Fund Administration services to the Irish Real Estate market, specialising in Real Estate and Infrastructure (REIF) Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Relationship Management. An exciting opportunity has emerged to join their dynamic team as a Private Equity Accountant, where you will gain invaluable knowledge and experience in a varied client environment.
Role Overview:
As a Private Equity Accountant within the REIF Team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality accounting services to a diverse portfolio of niche asset managers. This role provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Fund Accounting requirements for Real Estate and Infrastructure Funds while staying updated on market and regulatory developments.
- Collect and analyse relevant data to facilitate the accurate production of Net Asset Values (NAVs) and management accounts, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Understand the structure of property transactions and navigate the necessary approval processes effectively.
- Assist in the payment processing of operating expenses to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Depositary, Legal, Transfer Agency, and Company Secretarial, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Strive to provide exceptional client satisfaction while continuously improving departmental performance for both internal and external clients.
- Establish clear operating arrangements at the inception of each fund to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing or holding a Professional Accounting Qualification.
- Previous experience in financial services or within an audit firm is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, IFRS, and the Irish regulatory/tax regime.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on client service.
- Experience in client services roles, demonstrating an ability to manage relationships effectively.
- Familiarity with accountancy software and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
