Cook Assistant – Offshore MPSV / Subsea Support Vessel
We are currently seeking a Cook Assistant to join our team onboard a modern offshore MPSV / subsea support vessel, supporting subsea operations, ROV activities and offshore project execution.
As a Cook Assistant, you will support the galley operations and meal preparation, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and efficient support to the Cook / Campboss during commissioning and offshore operations.
This is a rotation-based position with an expected sign-on date of 13 April 2026 (subject to confirmation). The initial phase will be in the Netherlands (commissioning and sea trials), followed by mobilisation to Nigeria in June.
Standard rotation:
• Europe phase: 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off
• Nigeria phase: 8 weeks on / off
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with meal preparation for crew (up to 180 POB during peak operations)
• Maintain cleanliness of galley, stores and food preparation areas
• Support stock handling, storage and provisioning
• Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are followed
• Assist Cook / Campboss in daily operations
Requirements:
• Previous galley or offshore catering experience preferred
• Ability to work in high workload environment
• Basic English communication skills
• Valid STCW Basic Safety Training
• BOSIET / FOET (OPITO approved)
• Valid medical certificate
• Valid passport and seaman’s book
