Senior Business Development Manager – Public Sector (Fully Remote) £100,000 double OTE.

A company and our lovely client who are on a mission to make people’s lives better with the use of technology, who are winning project after project and supporting the UK and even further with the impact of Covid-19 where they are using their expertise in tech to contribute where they can to the global effort to tackle the pandemic but that is just one thing, the rest I don’t think I have enough space to list, but let’s just say it’s a lot!

They are a business run by an exceptional team people, who have worked in the industry for many years and know what it takes to truly deliver value for their clients. They genuinely care about culture, morale and developing their staff into experienced, successful salespeople. They’re also a nice bunch of people!
They are working with the likes of Netflix, NHS, booking.com, DVLA to name a few and work with them to build a true partnership. Due the success of this year and 2021 plans we are hiring across their sales teams both public sector and commercial.

What you’ll be doing day to day:
You will be accountable for building relevant stakeholder relationships with customers and industry partners to ensure cross-selling opportunities are maximised. You will be working collaboratively with other members of the Business Development team as well as colleagues from other areas of the business including delivery, legal, marketing and operations. You will have existing accounts (20%) and then 80% of the time will be building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities across your sector and location .
You’ll also be an advisor to clients, experienced in putting deals together, build and develop strategic partnerships, be a company ambassador, a great team player (in a team of 5) putting people first and helping others!


Your experience will look like:

  • Be an expert in the business development process and deal commercials including constructing complex commercial offers, with a demonstrated ability to:

Create business development strategies and account plans that ensure success in winning £ multi-million deals, recognising that such a campaign may need to be built up over an extended period of time: and deliver against quarterly and annual targets. And: 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level
  • Expert networking skills and the ability to build strong and appropriate relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Broad technology experience and a sound awareness of technology trends and their potential impact on current & future projects
  • Excellent knowledge of digital services concepts and their markets, with the ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors
  • Ability to operate in a highly competitive and pressurised environment, making sensible decisions.
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines in accordance with business requirements
  • Excellent negotiation skills, both from a commercial and contract perspective as well as resolving escalations and diffusing issues
  • They are passionate about developing people – so looking for someone with the ability in managing, mentoring and coaching members of your team and wider community.


5 years+ specific experience delivering / selling complex digital solutions or projects within the PUBLIC SECTOR!
