Director of Benefits for EMEA and APAC 

This role will be accountable for supporting the overall Global Total Rewards Benefits & Well-being strategy with a primary focus on EMEA and APAC regions. In addition, this role will be responsible for all regulatory requirements for plans and programs. 

This hands-on managerial role will be based in the UK and will partner extensively with internal stakeholders and external partners across these three regions as well as the globe on strategy, design and delivery of employee benefits. In addition to ensuring a positive employee experience with our programs, this role will also have overall responsible for all regulatory requirements for Amazon’s plans and programs.

Qualified candidates need to have industry experience in managing multi-country benefit programs, regionally-based teams, program compliance, and experience with integrating programs through acquisition activity. The role is based in the United Kingdom and reporting to the Sr Director of Global Benefits and Mobility, based in the USA. Currently the expectation is that this role be based in our Wilmslow office on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:

Program Development – Set and deliver on plan strategy that aligns with Waters’ key priorities and Global HR Total Rewards strategy, align with local key initiatives, and delivers a great employee experience, and enables continued scalability. Continuously monitor for cost sustainability and savings, operational efficiencies, and improved employee experience. Manage and oversee multiple vendor engagements while challenging them to provide innovative and quality programs and services to Waters and the employees.  Develop and deliver on complex and broad-based projects including team training and change management to impacted individuals and stakeholders.

Research and Reporting - Provide reports on a regular basis and keep senior leadership informed of operational metrics, financial dashboards, and employee satisfaction measures. Participate in business reviews of benefits spend and trends for the regions.  Be aware of market trends and inform senior leadership of noteworthy highlights.

Plan Governance - Manage all financial and regulatory compliance requirements and metrics. Identify potential areas of enhancements, financial opportunities, and risk mitigation, develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.  

Global Mobility - Manage the relocation process for international assignees and US domestic relocations, providing costings, advice, and support.  Be the main point of contact for relocating assignees and their family for all global mobility / assignment management needs. Provide relocation policy briefing to make sure the assignee fully understands the global mobility process.  Work with local HR and relocation vendor partnerships to coordinate and manage the delivery of third-party services for example, expatriate tax, home search, school search, household goods move management, destination services, immigration and cultural training. Advise on issues that occur during the relocation.  Manage external relationships with the relocation company, tax advisory firm and immigration law firms.
