Salary: GBP500 - GBP650 per day

Role: Applications Specialist – Outside IR35

Location: North Oxfordshire / Hybrid

6 Months (Plus possible extension)

Salary: £500 - £650 per day

Role Purpose: The Applications Specialist will function as an Applications SME and will play a pivotal role in discovering and documenting the application landscape, both technical configuration and commercial licensing agreements. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Merger and Acquisition integration projects and have a strong understanding of application identity authentication and access methods and will be responsible for discovering all required information for user migration and data access across on-premises and SaaS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and analyse application integration needs during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Explore and understand configurations for both on-premises and SaaS applications, including access and authentication configurations.
  • Work closely with IT, security, and business teams to discover application management and configuration.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory

  • Proven experience in application management, particularly in merger and acquisition scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of identity, access, and authentication methods.
  • Familiarity with on-premises and SaaS application configurations.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Desirable

  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
  • Familiarity with industry technology systems and vernacular and their use in business operations (M365, ERP/MRP, EntraID, cyber security etc)
