Role: Junior Full-Stack developer

 

Our client is seeking a junior PHP / LAMP developer to join their second line support team for multiple websites using assorted technologies. This is a remote position with the option for regular days in our Uxbridge office.

 

Opportunity

 

Our client is a leading provider of Digital Asset Management and workflow solutions to the Retail and Entertainment sectors. We are developing a SAAS DAM platform and client product suite to drive the next stage in growth of the business.

 

The successful candidate will be a junior software engineer. There is little CMS customisation as projects are mainly bespoke, although there are some Joomla and Wordpress websites which require occasional maintenance.

 

Most of the work is on the back-end so an understanding of OO design concepts, database programming and good knowledge of PHP is required.

 

Knowledge of JavaScript (vanilla, jQuery or React) would be an advantage as would the ability to comfortably run and understand linux commands when required. The successful candidate will be pragmatic and customer oriented. They will be motivated by the real difference they make to our customers and their contribution to the team. Experience in the second line support team has often been used as a stepping stone to move into other development teams within the business.
