The role

The Compliance & Assurance Officer is responsible for the administration and maintenance of ISO management system and working closely with internal functions to help drive and maintain a culture of continual improvement across the organisation in the areas of quality, security, and business continuity. The role is suited to candidates seeking to expand and build on their current level of quality and assurance experience and who possess a passion for continual improvement through engagement and collaboration. The successful candidate will be managed and supported by the Chief Operations Officer and by the broader ISO steering team.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out regular internal audits and quality inspections in line with ISO standards
  • Maintaining the audit schedule, producing, and submitting a full audit report on each audit undertaken
  • Ensuring any non-conformities are listed on the appropriate non-conformities log and corrective actions are assigned to the appropriate party and that all follow-up actions are listed on the appropriate Action plan
  • Working closely with Business Process Architects on audit findings, offering appropriate remedial steps to Wireless Logic’s integrated management in relation to internal audit findings
  • Preparing for Governance and risk assessment meetings
  • Supporting the staff onboarding process by conducting induction training to new joiners on Wireless Logic’s ISO policies
  • Submitting, recording, and scoring responses to Wireless Logic’s supplier questionnaires
  • Supporting private and public sector tender processes by facilitating the provision of compliance information
  • Assist with the supplier compliance processes, creating and submitting compliance-based questionnaires and managing responses
  • Assisting the Head of Information Security and Compliance on relevant activities and supporting other compliance initiatives where appropriate

 

Skills required:

  • Experience working in a compliance, quality, and audit environment
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO standards would be advantageous 
  • Familiarity with Governance, Risk and Compliance tools would be advantageous but not essential
  • Quality, Assurance and/or auditing training and/or certification e.g., CIA, would be advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to agree and drive actions to completion
  • Ability to understand different ways of working / processes and the curiosity to challenge and improve ways of working
  • Ability to interpret audit findings and communicate them in an effective manner to facilitate improvement where required
  • Ability to handle confidential information and with discretion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to relate to people at all levels
  • A spirit of co-operation, collaboration and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Enjoy working in a busy environment
  • Ability to multi-task, use initiative and to work well under pressure and to deadlines
