 Job role:

 

  • Define, document and deliver the project with the support of 3rd parties and internal resources 
  • Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project. 
  • Prepares realistic plans (including resource, quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate. 
  • Monitors cost, timescales and resources used and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. 
  • Ensure that projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed for benefits realisation and that lessons learned are recorded. 
  • Ensure that project deliverables are to the required quality standard  
  • Responsible for the overall use of project resources and initiation of corrective action where required. 
  • Responsibility for compliance with service standards as applied within an ITIL framework, e.g., change control management. 
  • Provide leadership to project resources and act as the main point of contact for own projects, directing and motivating the team. 
  • Engage directly with business stakeholders as required  
  • Ensure adherence to wider programme governance and reporting processes. 
  • Responsible for project administration and compliance with programme standards. 
  • Build strong relationships and trust with key business/programme stakeholders by demonstrating a deep understanding of their business issues and requirements. 
  • Manage project communications in line with defined standards. 
  • Facilitate the adoption of new functionalities, ensuring adequate support to business users in familiarisation and initial training as required. 
  • Organise and ensure handover to BAU of the upgraded system and new functionality as appropriate. 
  • Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for future systems development and gain buy-in as required 
  • Maintain up-to-date technical and professional knowledge relevant to the post. 
  • Flexibility to work at other offices in Oxfordshire as required and occasional out-of-hours and weekend work. 

 

You’ll have:

 

  • Professional qualifications or relevant experience operating at this level - Essential 
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering successful Teamcenter and NX implementation and/or upgrade projects in an enterprise environment - Essential 
  • Agile Methodology certificate or equivalent practical experience - Essential 
  • Prince2 Project Management certificate or equivalent practical experience - Essential 
  • Demonstrable experience engaging with stakeholders on all levels of a business, internal and external – Essential.  
  • A team player used to learning new skills & taking on new challenges – Essential.  
  • Experience working within the engineering and/or motorsport industry – Desirable.  
  • ITIL Foundation certificate or equivalent - Desirable
