How would you like to join a one of a kind Tech-4-Good company dedicated making sure we still have a world to live in 100 years from now? This is a role where you go home every night knowing you’re making a real and measurable difference. Although they came from humble beginnings, their diverse and multi-talented team have built some amazing products and helped millions of people across the UK lead a more sustainable life. 10 years later and they have office across the world and are looked up to as the industry leader in their field.

Whats the Job?

With multiple development teams working on numerous products, they are looking for a DevOps or Platform Engineer to join their established Engineering Services squad, building tools, infrastructure and automation that enables these teams to keep making really cool stuff. You might be an experienced DevOps Engineer with a background in software development, looking for a varied role where you’ll be exposed to the full technology stack. Equally you may also currently be a software developer who’s role incorporates aspects of DevOps, looking to make the move into a more DevOps focused position.

The nice thing about this role is that it will never feel old or stagnant, as you will constantly working with new development teams, jumping in on a project for 6 months or so, building pipelines and improving their production and deployment capabilities. Once you’ve got them set up, you’ll move onto the next project and team, ready to work your magic. It’s like a mini-consultant, but in a product lead company that you can really get behind.

Sound Good? What about you?

They have a fantastic engineering culture and would be looking for DevOps Engineers that come from a software development background, irrespective of the language. Experience with cloud computing, preferably AWS or GCP, would be excellent, plus containerisation knowledge with Docker/Kubernetes. You’ll need to be up to speed on automation and CI/CD tools and best practises.

You’ll have plenty of freedom to experiment and influence future strategy. Don’t worry if you don’t hit all the marks, they are happy to see people of all levels. As long as you’re open and ready to learn, they offer excellent training in some of the newest and sexiest tech to future proof your career.

What’s in it for me?

You’ll get the opportunity to attend conferences and focus groups, building on your skills where you feel would be beneficial. They offer a pretty unbeatable package, with a salary range from £60k - £80k depending on experience, plus a bonus. Not only that, you will get a solid pension, lifestyle allowance, 26 days holiday, flexible hours, and remote working, although the office in Bristol will be open for you anytime you want some face to face time.

If all this sounds like your kind of thing, drop me your CV or give me a call on 0117 403 6372 for a chat.
