Class 1 Driver

Location: Grange Park, NN4

Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Year-round stability)

Earnings: From £20.49ph up to £25.77ph

Class 1 Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK’s biggest Logistics clients  as a Class 1 Driver, based in Northampton.

Role & Responsibilities :

• 1-6 drops per shift
• Chilled & Ambient loads, various cages & pallets
• Various work, store deliveries, drinks and trunking work
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts :

• Daily and Weekly Bookings
• Varius start times Days, Afternoons and Nights
• Weekend working is essential
• Full time and part time opportunities

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 2 year’s  Class 1 licence + 2 year’s  Class 1 driving experience
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
