Stafforce Ports is recruiting Port Operatives to assist with a range of cargo handling and vessel operations at the Port of Hull. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced port environment, supporting quayside activities and terminal operations.

The role offers a variety of responsibilities, from assisting with vessel operations to gatehouse duties and industrial cleaning, providing an opportunity to develop valuable skills within the ports industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Port Operative, your duties may include:

• Performing slinging and banking duties during vessel operations

• Assisting with container handling and terminal activities

• Lashing and rigging containers and cargo

• Undertaking gatehouse duties and supporting vehicle movements

• Carrying out industrial cleaning and general housekeeping

• Supporting day-to-day cargo handling operations

• Adhering to site health and safety procedures and maintaining high standards

• Helping ensure port and logistics operations run safely and efficiently

Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates with experience in any of the following:

• Port or dock operations

• Slinging and banking

• Lashing and rigging

• Container operations

• Logistics or warehouse environments

• Industrial cleaning

• Manufacturing or other industrial settings

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role. It can also help support future career development, including opportunities to train on specialist port equipment, plant and machinery.
