A well-established and respected law firm in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its growing Wills, Trusts & Probate team. The Team
This opportunity is within the largest Private Client team in the Basingstoke area. The department is led by two highly experienced lawyers with over 20 years’ combined expertise and is supported by a capable team of fee earners and assistants. The team is known for its collaborative ethos and supportive working environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied and interesting caseload, including:
- Wills and complex estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Trust creation and administration
- Inheritance Tax advice
- Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work
There will also be opportunities to contribute to business development activities and firm-wide initiatives, such as social events and community engagement.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE in private client law
- Have a solid understanding of wills, probate, trusts, and related tax matters
- Be STEP qualified, or working towards the qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and client care skills
- Show commercial awareness and a team-oriented approach
