Senior Project Manager – SAP/Change Management/agile/PMP/waterfall
Role:
For our client in the Pharma industry based in Basel/Kaiseraugst we are looking for a Senior Project Manager.
Background:
The position is for a strong Senior Business Project Manager with previous experience in delivering large scale, multi-million complex projects. You will bring strong expertise in managing senior stakeholders, external vendors, internal teams with proven capabilities of delivering project objectives in an ambiguous environment.
The position is part of the Site Logistics team in Switzerland and the first task will be to lead the next critical initiative in Warehouse Management.
Areas of responsibility:
- Define, plan and lead the execution of a wide range of project workflows and tasks while balancing the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources and risk to define the requirements for a high quality IT solution for the process digitization of site logistics, ensure user acceptance testing by the business and successfully roll out the IT solution to the business.
- Identify, acquire, and lead multifunctional, project teams
- Ensure project objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders
- Manage relationships with various IT and business stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Facilitate project management activities across the entire project management methodology
- Ensure successful and timely completion of deliverables
- Track progress against baseline schedule
- Plan, baseline and control costs to ensure projects are completed within approved budget.
- Manage project priorities and ensure adherence to the agreed scope
- Monitor, document and gain approval for changes to schedule, cost or project scope
- Identify and apply systematic quality activities to ensure that project employ all processes needed to meet Computer System Validation directives
- Conduct risk and issue management planning, identification, analysis and monitoring on projects.
- Formulate risk and issue mitigation strategies; recommend and implement solutions.
- Ensure delivery of project in compliance with CSV and PMM guidelines.

- Professional and technical requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, business informatics or equivalent professional experience - Experience in dealing with management issues at group level (scope, time, cost, quality, risk, team)
- Previous experience in leading implementations of SAP systems
- Previous experience in implementing IT projects across a variety of platforms
- Experience in project organization and resource mobilization, and management of stakeholders
- Experience in virtual, cross functional project team management
- Proven vendor management experience
- Proven Organizational Change-Management experience
- Strong understanding of project management methodology concepts (including waterfall and agile)
- Strong understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV) concepts
- Experience in leading virtual and off-shore teams
- Traits of Entrepreneurial PM with focus on true organization value through project delivery
Nice to Haves:
- Experience working in Pharma Logistics a huge plus
- Familiarity with SAP rollouts / releases preferred
- PMP certification preferred
