Salary: AUD80000 - AUD85000 per annum + super + performance bonus

My client is a small but dynamic property development business located in South Melbourne. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Assist the CFO with month end reporting.
  • Manage the BAS and ensure accuracy with GST reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and other team members to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Document current processes with a view to process improvement
  • Support CFO with ad hoc tasks across HR, Legal, Sales, and Office Administration

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE.

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in a small business or property development environment.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Flexible individual with a good attitude is a must
