Salary: AUD115000 - AUD115000 per annum + 1 day WFH Flex

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll work across a diverse portfolio of clients, from family groups and mid-tier businesses ($10m+) to larger corporate structures. The role spans business services, taxation, trusts, and corporate advisory, offering both compliance responsibilities and the opportunity to deliver high-value advisory solutions. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff, partnering with clients, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice.


DUTIES

  • Preparation and review of tax returns, financial statements, and trust accounts for individuals, companies, partnerships, SMSFs, and trusts
  • Advisory on structuring, tax planning, and corporate transactions
  • Partner directly with clients, leading meetings and providing clear, commercially focused advice
  • Mentor and train junior staff, ensuring technical development and quality outcomes
  • Monitor WIP, budgets, and billing to deliver efficient and profitable results
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and value-add services

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years’ experience in public practice accounting
  • CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
  • Strong technical knowledge across tax, trusts, and business services
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to articulate financial matters clearly
  • Experience mentoring juniors and managing workflow
  • Proficiency with Xero and Power BI highly regarded
