ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the CFO, this Financial Accountant role will see you take ownership of a broad range of accounting responsibilities across multiple entities.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end position covering everything from invoicing and AP/AR through to month-end, management reporting, and budgeting/forecasting. You will also liaise closely with head office teams in Asia, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to prepare reports in Chinese.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a small team environment, and is comfortable working across both transactional and reporting tasks.
DUTIES
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Perform end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage invoicing, accounts payable and receivable
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyse P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow performance
- Prepare reports for head office in Hong Kong and China
- Communicate with offshore stakeholders regarding reporting requirements
- Support audit processes and compliance reporting
- Assist with ad hoc projects and financial analysis
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3–5+ years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards
- Experience in a multi-entity environment
- Strong understanding of month-end and financial reporting processes
- Experience with Oracle Fusion (preferred)
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to read and write Mandarin (essential)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
