ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the GM - Finance, this Finance Manager role will be responsible for leading key financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the finance division.

You will manage 3 direct reports and work as part of a broader finance team, while also supporting a small team in New Zealand. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong technical accounting capability, leadership experience and the confidence to operate as a senior member of the finance team.

DUTIES

• Act as the 2IC to the GM - Finance
• Lead, mentor and support 3 direct reports
• Oversee month-end reporting, financial accounting and management reporting deliverables
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, journals and month-end outputs
• Support the wider team across reporting, analysis, controls and process improvement
• Partner with internal stakeholders across finance and operations
• Provide technical accounting support and guidance to the team
• Support audit, compliance and statutory reporting requirements

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience within a complex business
• Previous leadership experience, ideally managing direct reports
• Big 4 background highly regarded
• Strong industry experience essential
• CA or CPA qualified preferred
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Experience in a large corporate, ASX-listed, multi-site or retail environment advantageous
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
