ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role offers end-to-end exposure across financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement. The Financial Accountant will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger, supporting month-end close, and delivering high-quality reporting across multiple entities.

It’s a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach who enjoys working in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and review general journals, accruals, and reconciliations in line with month-end deadlines.

  • Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigating any anomalies or variances.

  • Oversee and support weekly payment runs and cash flow reporting.

  • Prepare GST/VAT returns and manage related queries.

  • Assist with audit requests and other statutory compliance requirements.

  • Partner with internal teams to support financial analysis and ad hoc projects.

  • Contribute to process and system improvements across the finance function.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.

  • CA/CPA qualified (or working towards).

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role within a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of accounting standards.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using Oracle or similar ERP systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience in retail or multi-entity environments highly desirable.
